The current quality functions – design, process, product, and supplier quality – move from a large centralized function to a small decentralized one. This transition occurs if the enterprise is willing to share the responsibility for planning, controlling, and improving quality on an ongoing basis.
The new smaller, more strategic function is referred to as enterprise assurance or performance excellence. This presentation will discuss how to create a proactive and dynamic quality culture by ensuring that enterprise assurance will become the responsibility of every employee in the organization. This means each employee must fulfill certain performance obligations to learn and participate in the system. Quality will be a visible part of daily operations in each corporate function, business unit, and business location, enabling ongoing integration and assuring sustainability.
